The purpose of Job Software Engineer - Mid-level

We are currently looking for a talented software engineer in San Antonio or remote location. USAA software engineers support the organization and have the opportunity to significantly influence growth and organizational effectiveness by providing best-in-class technology solutions. Participates in all stages of the software systems life cycle and application development which includes; Collect and analyze requirements, design, test, document and implement programs, and respond to outages. Identify and manage current and emerging risks that arise from business activities and ensure that these risks are effectively identified and escalated to be measured, monitored and controlled.

Job duties:
Identifies and manages current and emerging risks that arise from business activities and the job role. Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored and monitored. Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities. Design, develop, code and test complex technical solutions in cooperation with senior engineers. It may lead to code / design reviews to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and accurate team-level planning.


More than two years in REST frameworks with focus on API development Over one year in AGILE methodology (Scrum, Lean, SAFe, etc.).Ability to design and implement container-based APIs using container frameworks such as Open Shift, Docker or Kubernetes. Understanding of micro services architecture design and implementation; Hands-on experience with Gradle, GIT, GitHUB, GITLab, etc. on continuous integration and continuous delivery infrastructure; developing cloud infrastructure applications with vendors such as AWS, Google, or Microsoft.
